My 5 worst books ever

It's sad, yet inevitable - we're all going to to have books we detest. So in an effort for you to know my reading tastes better I posted my favourite books last week and now a return with my least favourite books. Unlike the previous list, this is in order.

1. Romeo and Juliet - William Shakespeare

Loved the writing. Hated the characters, and I found myself gleefully happy when Romeo died.

2. Ash - James Herbert

I think the Goodreads review is enough justification - Ash

While the first two were mostly 'not my cup of tea', now we're moving onto the books I have wept over because I expected so much more.

3. The Scorch Trials - James Dashner

I loved the 'Maze Runner', but this book is full of bad writing and no sense of direction to as where the plot was going. I don't think I even finished it.

4. Across The Nightingale Floor - Lian Hearn

This has a fantastic premise, but my blurb gave away 3/4 of the book. Hense I found it dull with characters I couldn't relate too.

5. Catcher in The Rye - J.D. Salinger

I know. This is some people's favourite book ever. I had so much enthusiam to start reading this, I accidently bought two copies *doh*! I detested Holden, and found him very unrelatable. I assume that this book is either you love it...or you hate it.

What am I reading??? Yup, same book from last week.... 'Parades' End' - Ford Madox Ford

Have a lovely week readers! What are the books you hated?

- Lucy x
