Thou Shalt try to make this blog a better bloggity experience

Because this blog has become a dumping site for my GoodReads reviews. I mean, I fully had the intention of doing this properly, but that intention has slid a little...or a lot.

But isn't the best way to become a better blog is to know the writer? Surely it is, right? I mean, all good blogs are written by people, not robots.

So, prompted by my friend Karin, her blog's here http://karinjr.blogspot.co.uk/, I have decided to do a fifty things about me tag...thing.

1. Lucy is the name
2. Reading is the game
3.I can't rhyme.
4. I write, as well as read, yet every project I start I don't finish, and I'm trying really hard to break through that barrier, and actually finish something.
5. I have done NaNoWriMo for two years (nope, not finished anything).
6. I swear I am going to become a mad cat lady when I grow up.
7. I have two cats, Dusty and Figgy.
8. Oh, yeah and I'm seventeen.
9. As you may be able to gather I am unable to focus on one thing at once because my mind wanders.
10. Scarves are something I have an obsession with.
11. (And nail polish)
12. I have started sewing some clothes, and while my skills are rudimentary, I am immensely proud of the two skirts I have made.
13. I usually just throw on some random  clothes every morning rather than plan out what I'm going to wear.
14. I'm short-sighted, so I wear purple Buddy Holly style glasses.
15. I'm short-sighted because I read so much in low light as a kid.
16. I'm short-sighted, so inevitability people try on my glasses all the time.
17. I don't particularly get annoyed with this, or much else.
18. I'm worryingly laid-back.
19. So laid back did little revision for my GCSEs (does not recommend).
20. However, passed all said GCSEs (Even Welsh! Even Art!)
21. Was pretty jubilant about this.
22. My favorite seasons are Autumn and Spring because a) it's not so hot that you have to shave your legs and you can still wear 40 denier tights. b) It's not too cold that if you go out you are terrified that you are going to fall on ice and break your bum. c) All pretty nature-y things happen then. The leaves start falling, plants start growing.
23. I live on a nature reserve.
24. In Wales, so it's not exactly Kenya.
25. Actually, it's more of a few fields and woodland, and it's got protected species in it.
26.  I have not always lived in Wales.
27. I lived near Edinburgh till I was four.
28. I am incredibly envious of people who have Northern accents.
29. I try to imitate my Grandparent's Lancashire at every opportunity.
30. I think my Grandparents are fab.
31. I don't have much/any self-esteem to do with my intelligence.
32. But surprisingly, I have higher self-esteem to do with my appearance.
33.  But this is probably to do with the ample amount of eyeliner and mascara.
34. I drink copious amounts of cups of tea.
35. I like chai, green tea, black tea, fruit tea any really.
36. Just not dandelion.... blargh.
37. I speak a bit of French, and a bit of German.
38. That's probably because I'm doing French, German and History A-Levels.
39. Personally, Generation War is my favourite German production I've seen.
40. I cried while watching Au revoir les enfants which was a) embarrassing as it was in class and b) unusual, as I don't cry in films.
41. My favourite colour changes quite a lot, but it's usually in the lilac, blue, green spectrum.
42. Strangely, I wear a lot of grey.
43. I can't stand bracelets.
44. But I quite like necklaces.
45. But usually I can't be bothered with accessorizes.
46. But hats, and scarves (previously mentioned), yes.
47. I'm a relatively private person.
48. My favourite TV shows are Carnievale and Battlestar Gallatica.
49. Carnievale should not have been cancelled.
50. I probably should go to bed (I am not a night owl and neither am I a lark, I'm in the middle).

I dare you to do this.
